About the Event
How might historians and literary scholars engage with synthetic data - AI-generated text, images, and metadata - while preserving critical, interpretive, and ethical reflection? This one-day hackathon invites participants from history, literature, digital humanities and cultural studies to collaboratively explore the creative and methodological potential of generative AI for historical and literary research.
We invite researchers of all career stages (PhD student to professor) and students in history, history of science and ideas, economic history, literature, digital humanities, cultural and heritage studies to a hands-on workshop on AI and synthetic data.
No prior knowledge about AI or digital research methods is required!
What to Expect
Discover what synthetic data is and how generative AI is creating new possibilities for historical and literary research.
Put your scholarly expertise to the test in an experiment with synthetic historical and literary data alongside authentic sources.
Have the opportunity to be part of a publication presenting the results of the experiment.
Enjoy an included lunch and traditional Swedish fika while networking with fellow researchers from across disciplines.
